java iview problem

hello together,

my problem ist that i don't know if every iview has one profile-file (of course i can create more than one) or is there one profile-file for each person who uses this iview. i want to store personal data which influence the layout and content of the iview (every user has its own layout/content, but there is only one iview).

where does the portal save the personalized data??

i think, every user of the iview uses the same profile-file, but the runtime knows how to fill the profile depending for example on the userID.

help would be great.

thanks

daniel

sorry, i have vergotten one question:

is it possible to use the built-in personalization with an input-field which has the type file. i want that users can select local files on their pc and store the path in the profile-file.

    ok, now it's really complete.
