Problem on remote uploading of PAR file

Former Member

hi buddy

Currently i am practicing enterprise portal applications, I meet a problem when try to upload my par file to a portal server.

My configuration in "SAP Enterprise Portal" are as following

Host: 10.48.ab.cd

Port: 51000

Login:"user in portal server"

(I could access the portal from http://10.48.ab.cd:51000/irj, and login successfully with my user)

the help materials says studio would ask for password during the upload process, but in fact, during the remote deployment process, the studio always tells me that "Please check the user ID and Password",and doesn't ask for password input, so I could not upload my par file to portal server.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem?

Many Thanks!

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

when using NetWeaver DevStudio you can right-click on your project in the "package explorer" and select "Quick Par Upload". The following dialog has a checkbox named "Deploy Par" which (when checked) gives you the possibility to specify the destination server, user and password.

The PDK is not needed for remote deployment of portal applications.

Have you uploaded the PDK business package from iviewstudio?

I believe that you need this installed on you EP6 portal.

Cheers,
