XI and mail support

Hello,

I would like to check if someone here has implemented a similar scenario like it was requested by my project.

EBP is the sending system that communicates with XI. XI is supposed to determine the receiver and send out emails with 1) an XML as attachment or 2) a PDF as attachment.

So far I couldn't find any hints that XI is able to send emails with or without attachements. Does anybody know about a third party adapter that could realise this or point me to another solution.
