problems with creation of generic datasource

HI,

I HAVE TO CREATE A GENERIC DATASOURCE FROM TWO TABLES.

(ONE TABLE IS TRANSPERANT AND ONE TABLE IS CLUSTER).

IN THAT CASE I CAN'T USE A VIEW OR QUERRY.

I HAVE CREATED A FUNCTIONAL MODULE.FROM THER HOW I WILL CREATE A DATASOURCE.

(iam not sure whether this approach is correct or not)

APART FROM THIS WAY THERE IS ANYOTHER WAY OF HANDLING THE SAME SITUATION.

THANKS,

Go to Transaction RSO2 and create a Data Source as usual. Here instead of Table/view, use Function Module.

If you create an extract based on a function module, you will also need to create a structure to hold your record set. Also, if you want to have delta extracts, or extract data based on selection criteria, you will have to code this yourself.
