can we upload existing project in mpp file??

Hi,

I am new in PS. I have gone though basic concept. I have already project in mpp file and i want to upload my existing project in PS. So can any one tell me basic steps to upload project. I have already installed open ps. and created Project profile , is there anyother thing needs to upload project.. Plz help me

hi you need to have this role -> SAP_PS_EPS assinged ! then you can download the project.

For open please check the foll:

· Windows® 2000, or Windows® XP or Windows® Vista

· Microsoft Project 2000, 2003 or 2007 (Standard and Professional, English language only)

· Local installation of a SAP GUI 7.1 or above standard installation

· SAP R/3 4.6C, 4.7 and above, or SAP ERP

For upload kindly refer to note : 534045 and contact your basis consultant

I have talked to basis consultant and read sap note, but i dint find any solution to activate upload button in OPENPS.

Plz guide me, I am unable to proceed further bcz of this,

first we need to connect to required client from mpp file then we need to upload the same mpp file to sap

Hi,

You need a special role to be assigned to the userid to activate the upload function.

Please refer to the existing threads in sdn for Open PS. You fill find an answer for the same.
