Hi All,

Bcz I maintained in control recd. retro date , but when i executed payroll it brings all teh old dates, but if we maintain retro date in IT 3 it will not , i think this is not teh good practice

I used RPUTRBK0 and update

(Retro date will be 01012011)

How I can control this

Hi!

I think you mean T-Code PU03, right? this is T-code to help u maintain all fields in IT 0003, Because in this IT, you just maintain the first day to run retro payroll.

In this IT, there are some important info:

1. the first date to retro payroll, the date that before this date, can not run payroll and of couse u can not CHANGE data before this date.

2. THe same with time evaluation, but in order to calculate in PT60.

3. The PDC date is the next date to start run PT60. Time evaluation will run from this date to current date.

Hi!

In PU03 or IT3, i have told carefully in previous entry.

In PA03, the date is meaning: you can not change any data before this date for all employee in this payroll area.

Hi SD!

Let's me tell more details about the role of 2 T-Code.

With PA03, it will impact for all employees in this Payroll Area. So If you maintain the retro date in PA03 is 01.01.2011, if you change data for these employees before 01.01.2011, these employees CANNOT run payroll. But infact, some time you need to change data in the past: change salary or something else.So the retro date in PA03 usually is maintained as the month you go live SAP for your customer. In PA03, retro date is MONTH not DATE.

With PU03, you maintain for only for this employee. The earliest date run retro is to decide the date you want to retro payroll for him. Before this DATE, you don;t want re-count payroll for him. Eg: employee is transfered to another Personnel Area from 01.12.2010, and you don't want Payroll will re-calculate anything for him in last Personnel Area. So u input the date 01.12.2010 into IT3.

Hope you understand now.

Regards!

Woody.
