PureEdge and SAP

Hi,

I would like to know if there is currently, or in the near future, any compatibiliy between SAP Smartforms and PureEdge forms? I found the following at PureEdge.com:

"PureEdge is integrating its design environment with the Rational design environment, using Eclipse, an open source IDE, supported by more than 150 vendors including, IBM, SAP, Hewlett Packard, Novell, Oracle, SAS, Hitachi Software, webMethods and Red Hat. Is it possible to convert a form from PureEdge to Smartforms, or pass data from SAP to PureEdge? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Bruce

    Hi Bruce,

this is not officially supported by SAP and I don't know aboput any plans to do so. In fact, I never heard about PureEdge before. Supporting Eclipse is something commonly done today and we are basing our complete development environment on it. But this does not mean that there is an support for things coming from any other supporter of eclipse.

Also I don't know the prodcut, I doubt that there is any conversion, as usually I would have heard about if we planmned to do any conversion of that kind.

    Regards,

    Benny
