Dispatcher Running; Server Not connected - J2ee Pos installation problems

Hi

I am trying to install XI3.0 ramp-up version part of which J2EE engine needs to be installed, Everything went on well while Installing until we started doing pre-install configuration to install XI. While updating parameters for JDBC service within the dispatcher, the whole thing disappeared and since then we are not able to connect to the J2EE Administration Engine - neither through IE or through Admin tool (go.bat). Could some plesae help us go past this state.

Thanks

Shiva.

    Hi,

Please check why the server is not up and running - maybe it died because of an hotspot error, maybe outofmemory, maybe some component called System.exit.

As you said XI, I assume the server is started by the r3startup service of the dispatcher. In this case do the following :

    1. in <dispatcher>/services/r3startup/properties

    change KeepOldServerProcessOutput=NO to KeepOldServerProcessOutput=YES

save and restart the Engine from smicm transaction.

Then check the files in <dispatcher>/services/r3startup/work for the actual reason why it dies.

    Best Regards : Iavor
