Modify Java iviews delivered in Business Packages

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is 'proper' way to modify Java iViews delivered in Business Packages? It could be something as simple as changing fonts for iViews. I haven't been able to find anything which explains how to do it..

Thanks

The problem is that most times, the presentation(html generation) is encapsulated in the java class.

So the only way to do it is to decompile the class, change it and compile, and put it back in to the jar.

But I assume this breaks the license agreement so you really can't do it.

If you need to change the fonts, you might be lucky enough to find a style sheet out side the java iview. Check the public folder for the component (\usr\sap\<pid>\j2ee\j2ee_01\cluster\server\services\servlet_jsp\work\jspTemp\irj\root\portalapps\<portal component>)

    Hi,

You decompile the iview, create a new project with different name, to transport decompiled classes into project, make change ,build and import into EP. This is only way. I asked to OSS is this possible. OSS said: NO.
