Adopt the OPS$ mechanism according to SAP Note 50088 (Windows) and 400241 (for Unix).

First Thanks all for your help.

My OS is window 2008 x86-64 bit.

Nick, i already have OPS$ user in database.

I don't understand why i have to adopt this mecanism ( he is already in used since i have installed the SAP product with Oracle 10g and i'm supose he is always witht the upgraded database 11g)...

Check below error: looks like no permission to <SID>adm on folder D:\oracle\SLM\112\database\

>>13.01.2011 14:40:59 BR0252E Function CreateFile() failed for 'D:\oracle\SLM\112\database\spfileSLM.ora' at location BrFileStatGet-2

I have check the permission for me it 's ok

All the folder under oracle have full permission with the group "administrators" and SLMadm is in group administrators.

At one time i have think that it's coming because of the CAPS inside the file spfileSLM.ora ( at the start he was with full CAPS : SPFILESLM.ORA) but after i have change it (and restart the database and sap) the result is the same...

I have made a Full backup with BRtools by command line with succes.

Here is the result if 'im doing the checkDB by Brtools:

Hi,

What is your OS???

If its Unix flavour then kindly make sure that oraSID has rights to 'D:\oracle\SLM\112\database\spfileSLM.ora'

Hi,

This is a known problem with windows......

Check the following note

SAP note 1173159 - Solution

Note 1292339 - 10.2: DBUA changes file access authorizations during upgrade

Thanks Nirmal,

You are correct, your hint solved my issue, it is user permission problem on that particular file.

Our host is windows, we just added SAPServiceSID user to this file and our problem got solved.

Many thanks,

Mohan.
