CJVC impact on areas other than PS hierarchy reports

Hi,

We're having issues with cost not rolling up to WBS / project level in hierarchy reports like CN41N and CN41. This issue is happening on projects settled to WBS element, network, or order (due to 'internal business volume' mechanism). To overcome this issue, we're planning to assign settlement cost elements ONLY to value categories in CJVC (right now both settlement and debit cost elements are assigned to value categories in CJVC).

We're bit worried that if we do this change (of assigning settlement cost element only to value categories) whether it's going to affect areas other than PS hierarchy reports. Do you know whether this affects other areas like finance, etc...?

To my knowledge, value categories are used by PS & PM modules. But, both have separate configuration, so any change in PS value category will not affect other than PS reports. Also, check with your CO consultant before taking a decision

Thanks Rafi. That's what I thought. CJVC is for PS and OIK2 is for PM. Changes in CJVC is specific to PS and should not affect other modules including finance reports / transactions.

If that Value category is being used by any other reports/ enhancement, this will effective over there as well.
