Are your Object Attributes set correctly ?

You can only create a namespace if the Object Attributes are set correct.

It must be set to 'Objects are modifiable.'

You can find it at the bottom of the screen.

Hi Theo,

I tried doing that. but I am getting an error

'You cannot create new objects since the system is not in the original system of the software component version'

Also, I tried creating the new namespace in SAP ABA 4.6C, it did let me create a new spce and i created the business scenarion. But I cannot see the same in transaction SPROXY.

Am i missing something here

thanks

I have tried it myself.

You also have to set the 'Objects Are Original Objects'.

But Why should you want to add a name space to a SAP component.

Normally you would define your own software component.

Are you doing things now on an XI 30 system ?

If so and you want to know how to do this, you can have a look at the tutorial 'Tutorial_Objects_EN' on SAPNET.

thanks for all the info.

But can u tell me how do we define our own software component. Yes I am doing this on XI 3.0.

You can find the document in Sapnet -> Alias XI and then

Media Library -> Documentation.

There are 2 tutorials.

1) Defining a Business Process which guides you to create your own flight demo

2) Importing XI object. This is required for 1. This tutorial descibes how to create your own software component and making use of the already defined SAP objects.

Hope this will give you enough info.
