Operations produced in the lines but not confirme in ERP until the next day

Hi,

An external system is going to finally confirm the operations of the orders the day after that orders have been actually produced.

Order and operations remain in status release until the following day. Problem is that manual re-scheduling or night jobs with scheduling heuristics can move orders forwards because at that time they are in the past so when they are actually confirmed in the system then we will get a confirmation date one day late and this is wrong!

Solution would be that orders cannot be re-scheduled, partial or final confirmations manually done in ERP is not a solution because we have many orders.

Suggestions?

Hi Carlos,

You can define planning time fence to fix to orders which are near to today line say 3days or week so orders within week period will be firmed automaticaly and will not be changed by rescheduling.

Second option is if you want to fix orders belonging to certain date or interval or specific type of orders like only production orders you can fix operation in mass using resource planning table (/SAPAPO/RPT).

Thanks for the reply.

Operations which belong to orders within the planning time fance can be re-scheduled. Not only manual drag and drop re-schedule them, also scheduling scheduling heuristics and re-schedule button can re-schedule them. Am I missing something?

The option of the fixing some days ahead and in the past in the line would solve the problem but it has some disadvantages like if users want to change something during that period then they have to unfix the line.

Hi Carlos,

No you are not missing anything. Actually Planning time fence is considered only by procurement planning functions and heurisitcs. So it will not set status operation fixed and can protect orders from automatic changes through production planning run but not from ds functionalities like rescheduling.

One more option is to have fixing interval for resource through DS board or running heuristic SAP_DS_03 but still you hav unfix the order for manual rescheduling and it will fix entire resource schedule within that interval.
