Hi Phani,

Attributes of an infoobject are for defining its properties,

lets take exapmle of a very basi infoobject 0MATERIAL.

not this infoiObject could carry values such as CAR, BIKE SCOOTER, TRUCK

now the attribiutes are foo defining its properties like COLOR, WEIGHT, MODEL NUMBER, etc...

these things are now mapped in the SAP System in terms of InfoObjects and its attributes which are again infoObjects, which have a specific technical name.

for technicla details, refer the link

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/dd/f470375fbf307ee10000009b38f8cf/frameset.htm

Hope this helps

hi,

Every Attribute is an infoObject. And the behaviour of attribute varies in diffenet situations.

Any InfoObject, that has ben added as an attribute (in the attribute tab page) becomes a property of the main infoobject.

it depends on the reporting requirement, that how that property is used.

like for the case of MATERAIL agai, it has attributes color, size and model..

we can display these attributes along with the materail in any report. these will always be associaited with material.

In this case all the attributes(infoobjects ) will be marked as display attributes in the attribute tab page of infoobject maintainence.

Now suppose in the report, you wish to see valus based on model number.. i.e you wish to navigate on model (infoObject, whic is attribute of MATERIAL,), you will mark this as Navigational attribute and then at the time of reporting you can drill down based on MODEL numbers as well.

for firther infom just go through the link i have provided in the above post.

HI,

infoobjects attributes will give more information to main infoobjects (ie sales person is main infoobjects, his address, phone no is attributes)

attributes do not have master data, there are different attributes are there (display attribute, navigational attribute...)
