clarification on web template

There is an icon in web template (BW30B) where by I can download all the

information into excel sheet.

I have a query which has its formatting options switched off. Hence in

BEx it shall show the result without any colours and formatting.

But when I download the result set from web into excel, the excel files

shows the result in formatted and coloured manner. This increases the

file size exponentially thereby increasing the download time.

There is probably a program LRSR_XLS_EXPORTF01 which streams the data

out to an Excel file for download.

I have looked for it to find a way to change the output, but have not

tried it yet to modified this program to have the output suit the need at least for formatting.

Is there options (at least w/o modifying the above program) to allow

customization or selection of what is output w/ the "Download to Excel"

option.

How does one switch off this formatting through config or tweaking this

program?

    Hello Harsh!

The standard is always adding the formatting information to the exported Excel file.

You cannot avoid this without modification.

There is a consulting solution available that works with an own set of classes.

    Tobias
