Supplier Master Data Self-Maintenance in SRM ROS & SUS

Former Member

Hi Experts,

1.Can anyone confirm in SRM7.0 , SUS & ROS application runs on exactly which application , I mean BSP or Webdynapro..etc.. I learnt it is /was in BSP in SRM5.0?

2. In SRM-SUS ,once Supplier creates his own User id & Password in Supplier Master Data Self-Maintenance (Administration u2013Company data) function, can we (anyhow by some enhancement /screen changes..etc ) maintain Supplier at Purchase Org level just like ECC in XK03. I mean I maintained any supplier in ECC for one Company code 3000 and for 2 Purchase Organization 8000 & 9000 ,then can I maintain same data at same Org level ?

The purpose is , when supplier himself will change any data in SUS , Notification/approval workflow should be go to respective head of that Pur. Organization

Thanks in advance

Hi NAP,

-- It still runs on BSP only in SRM 7.0 too

2. -- Yes this is possible with a lot of customisation. (BSP changes, Remote function modules, and Z tables)

Hi,

Yes. ROS is now part of SUS and UI is WebDynpro ABAP in SRM 7.0 EhP1.

Supplier Screening POWL is new and you can transfer supplier from SUS(ROS) to ERP or SRM by selecting transfer button.

For asking password issue, please check you have assigned user and password for the service in SICF transaction.

SRM_SUCO_1: Supplier Qualification (Enhanced)

Use

As of SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP Supplier Relationship Management 7.0 (SAP SRM 7.0), you

can use your supplier self-services (SUS) client as the registration client for potential suppliers and do not

need another system in addition to SRM Server to run this scenario. The supplier self-registration function

uses a new harmonized Web Dynpro user interface (UI). Interested parties can access the URL to the selfregistration

screen in different ways. For example, they may find the URL on a purchasing company's

homepage, or a purchaser can send an e-mail with the URL to invite them for registration.

After having filled out and submitted the self-registration form, a business partner with the Potential

Supplier role is created in SUS. Strategic purchasers can also create potential suppliers directly in SUS.

The status handling of potential suppliers has been improved.

After registration, the system sends out questionnaires to the contact person of the potential supplier. The

relevant questionnaires are selected based on the product categories that the potential supplier specified

during registration. The questionnaires are created using the Web Survey tool provided by SAP

NetWeaver. The potential supplier accesses the questionnaires using a URL provided in an e-mail.

For strategic purchasers, a work center for supplier preselection is now available in SAP NetWeaver Portal.

Strategic purchasers who want to use the Supplier Preselection work center must be assigned the new role

/SAPSRM/SUCO_PROCESSOR (SAP SRM: Supplier Preselection). The work center provides a personal

object worklist (POWL), from which it is possible, for instance, to display, edit, accept, or reject potential

suppliers. Purchasers can also add attachments to the potential supplier data.

Using the POWL, you can also transfer potential suppliers to the back-end system to create a business

partner with the Supplier role in these systems. If you have defined more than one back-end system,

enhanced options are available for transferring the supplier data when calling up the potential supplier

details screen from POWL. Supplier transfer to SAP SRM using Open Partner Interface (OPI) is also still

supported.

When the supplier has been created in the back-end system, it can be replicated to SUS where the

potential supplier then acquires the Supplier or Bidder role.

Thanks Masa.

I guess ,the below you are talking about SRM7.01

For asking password issue, please check you have assigned user and password for the service in SICF transaction.

And we have this issue in SRM7.0....Is same is applied to SRM7.0 as well ?

Hi,

Yes. You should set user and password in SICF transaction. Please find ROS_SELF_REG service in SICF.

It is documented in configuration guides.

You can find configuration guides in SAP Solution Manager or offline download version in SAP Service Marketplace.

Hi Masa,

Thats good news. Moving to webdynpro is a good move.

Are there any changes in SUS too just like ROS? How will we be setting up suppliers in SUS? How will suppliers send POR, ASN? What will be the roles of suppliers?

Hi Nikhil,

There is no change in SUS.

Supplier maintenance depends upon whether you are using MM-SUS or SRM-SUS.

Need to do master data replication/synch-up with MM or SRM according to the respective config guide.

Hi Ramki,

But what are the BSP pages ROS_SELF_REG, SRMSUS_SELFREG and SRMSUS replaced with in webdynpro? Could you please elaborate.

Hi,

ROS_SELF_REG and Supplier Screening are WebDynpro in EhP1. No change for SRMSUS_SELFREG and SRMSUS.

Hi All ,

My basic requierment is ... in SUS/ROS ,Supplier & its Employees ( Subcontrator) should be able to upload Certificatics/Licences , maintain its strat date-expiry date .....maintain these things and once its expiray date comes, befor 30-20-10 days , system should be able to send such a Reminder Notification mail to the Supplier & its Employees ( Subcontrator) as well as to Purchasing Person/Admin.. and after that the relevant person will act if necessary...

I hope , uploading the documents will be possible with new SRM7.01 or some enhancement if std does not suits, adding some custom fields will be possible in SUS screen....I have concern about this Notification mail sending ?

Can anyone please suggest me whether above all is possible , especially Notification mail ?

Thanks

Hi,

How about implementing a custom program which checks expire date and sends notification email? You can schedule it as daily night job. I think program code won't be big.

Hi guys,

I´m trying to modify the ROS registration screen with the WebDynpro component /SAPSRM/WDC_MODC_ROS_COMP but unfortunately no changes occur. It seems the BSP application ROS_SELF_REG is used instead.

Is it possible to activate the WebDynpro component instead of the BSP application? Or are changes only directly in the coding of the BSP application possible? What for would the WebDynpro component exist then?

Thanx for support!

Ina
