KM functionality in BW - document types selection

Hello,

how easy would it be to modify a Web Template with a Java Script and modification to eventual classes (which ones ?) in the repository (via BADin ?) in order to be able (in a List of Document enhanced menu) to select documents using the document type associated to the documents ?

Thx in advance.

Luc.

    Hello Luc,

    what do you mean by "...to select documents..."? Do you mean to filter by a specific document type, e.g. only to show Word documents, etc.?

    Could you please describe more detailed the result you would like to get?

    Thank you,

    Tobias

      Opa Tobias,

      yes, you got it. The values in table TOADD.

      Does it require TREX to be installed ?

      I understand that the BW class TRAN in KM contains

      an attribute that is (Document Workbench Modeling trans DMWB) class LOIO > BDS_DOCUMENTTYPE

      class PHIO BDS_DOCUMENTCLASS. Do they map ?

      Therefore, the document type

      should be usable for selection:

      similar to what is done by copying-inheriting

      a class for a Table WebItem like CL_RSR_WWW_MODIFY_TABLE

      <object>

      &#8230;

      <param name="MODIFY_CLASS" value="YourClassName">

      object>

      that would be CL_RSR_WWW_ITEM_DOC_LIST for the WebItem

      "List of Documents"

      My limited knowledge in OO and KM only makes sneaking around !

      Thx if you can push me a bit further.

      Luc.
