Set page-layout properties from a portal page?

Hello everybody,

is it possible to set (override) properties of a portal page layout from the page which is using the layout?

Background: I have a page layout which has some properties which control rendering of the layout. I want to set these properties not in the layout but in the pages which use that layout. Is this possible?

Hello Markus,

For pages with existing layouts you may change some properties by using PCD Inspector Tool. As far as I remember here, at SCN, there is a blog or forum which describes something similar to your question.
