Null pointer exception after password change and logon

Dear All,

As soon as the password is expired for the user the user changes it from Portal (Datasource ABAP System) and when he gets login a "Null Pointer Exception" comes for the first time. After this if the user login second time and onwards using new password there is no error observed and everything works fine. The Standard logon module is being used and no customizations are done. Please suggest what is causing the issue and how it can be rectified. Following are the error details which the user gets
