' character in BEx Analyzer results - any way to remove?

Hi all,

I have alwatys noticed that there is an apostrophe sign (') as the first character in the results of a BW query. e.g." 5,400 " would appear as " '5,400 ".

This makes it dificult to do any Excel functions (formulas) on the results unless you first use another formula to remove the ' sign.

Does anyone know how to remove this sign from the results? is there an option somewhere to disable it?

Hi Allan,

to my best knowledge there's no setting to remove the '. BW needs it to format the cell contents correctly.

You could use the VBA macro to remove this character after every refresh. However, this makes only sense if you don't care about formatting.
