Unable to log on to the portal from other machines

Hi,

We have installed the portal.

if we give http://localhost:50000/irj, then we are able to enter into the portal,

but if we give http://10.111.11.11:50000/irj, then we are unable to enter into the portal.

Please try to give some idea on this.

Thanks

Mohan

What error message do you get (turn off http friendly from Tools->internet options->Advanced (in IE) ?

Also check that there are no firewalls (try telnet 10.111.11.11 50000 from the other machine)

And also, use try using the DNS name instead of ip addresse

    Hi,

I had also problems accessing the portal using the IP-addresse. Try acessing it using the DNS name (if nothing else works, try settings your portal-DNS name with the corresponding IP in your hosts file).

    Hope that helps,

    Holger.
