Cost distribution

Hi Folks,

My users wants to use cost allocation to distribute Costs that have initially been assigned to an cost center which belongs to say a business Area. Along with distribution of cost to various cost center the users want to brake down by various business area as well.

Is there any way of doing this.

hi..

You can distribution cost from your cost centre to any other cost centres through distribution allocation

For plan creat cycle T.code : KSV7 and execute T.code KSVB

For Actual creat cycle KSV1 and Execute T.code KSV5

Where do i make this settings and you also mention that cost center to cost center can also post to business area, where are the receiver business area assigned and is there any report to view this as in report S_ALR_87013611 - Cost Centers: Actual/Plan/Variance we cant see the business area

When business area is assgned to a cost ctr master, every posting that goes to cost ctr also gets assigned to Bus Area

I can use distribution cycle to allocate cost from one cost center to another. But the users want to allocate cost from one cost center's business area to another cost center's business area.

In my transaction KSV1 i can only give my source cost enter and receiver cost center, however the receiver business area cannot be mentioned.

I dont know how to find solution to this requirement.

Hi

When you allocate from cost ctr to cost ctr,it also gets allocated to bus area and pr ctr as well

you need to have FICO real time integration switched on if you want it to take impact in FI as well

If your business areas are within the same Controlling area what is the problem ? Can you give some more details of your requirement ?
