Par upload not working

I have EP5 SP6 system, SAPJ2EE 6.20 patch 20. After doing changes in the java application and when I upload the par file, the changes in the code is not reflected. The portal continues to use the old code even after restarting the services and rebooting the server. Is there anything I have to do after uploading the par file? The par upload used to work in EP5 SP4.

Regards,

Jai

Have you checked the logs for any errors.

And check the pcd deployement folder (somewhere under servlet_jsp/irj..../ folder) if there are an .err files ?

      Hmm, weird.

      Is it a cluster ?

And do you have a state controller ?

If so, try to compare the versions on different app servers.

Usually a restart helps with sync problems

Sometimes it's due to a jar file that is included in the lib folder of you PAR. this jar contains the code of your application and is not updated after changes in the code.

It's often the case when you create a project in Eclipse based on an existing par or project, then Eclipse add a JAR file containing the code in the lib folder.

If you don't remove manually this file, you could have problems like you have.

Just remove it and it should be ok (if you have this jar file of course !)

    Hi Jai,

    maybe this helps:

    http://localhost:8080/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/PDK.DevConsole

Try there "release all items" before/after deploying the new par-file.

    Steffen
