Serial Number - Goods Return

Hi,

We've got 5 differents Items wich are managed by Serial Numbers, Method: On Release only, with Automatic creation on Receipt.

When we try to add a Goods Return for those items, there is no serial number to select, but we do have stock in the selected warehouse. So, We use Serial Number Management: Complete in order to create those serial numbers needed, but there is a error message: No matching records found.

Our Version is SAP Business ONE 2007 A SP:00 PL: 49

Please Advice...

No, we initially received those Items in a different warehouse, and they were placed there by a A/R Credit Memo of Customer Returns.

Goods Return is for Goods Receipt PO.

Sales Return can be found under Sales - A/R as Return only.

If it is sales return, those serial numbers should not exist in your inventory before you receive them.

¿Is there any chance to create those Serial Numbers for the Items that come from A/R Credit Memo? We need to release them by a Good Returns to let them out of that warehouse where they are right now.

Or, ¿Is there any other another way to create that Goods Return with those items?

A/R Credit Memo is already including Return function. Where do you want to return them?

We'd like to clear that stock on that warehouse, because there is a number of items (5 Items) returned to us by a A/R Credit Memo, that we need to return to the Supplier, that's why we need to release them by a Good Returns in Purchasing - A/P...But ¿How Can I do it if there is no serial numbers available? We couldn't create them by Serial Number Managament: Complete, because there is an error message.

¿Any Ideas?

Now I understand. The serial number should be released when you get return from customer but it is not available due to current system design.

Is it ok to you to add UDF for those serial numbers?

Because the serial number has been used, if you can not add the number again you may add an UDF to enter the serial number.

That UDF for Serial number would be useful for Info, But When I Add a Goods Return in Purchasing-A/P, there is a Serial Number selection screen wich is mandatory, and I will need to select a serial number that I don't have. That's the issue...

¿Any ideas?
