Hi,
sometimes i post a thread in forum: abap, general
but i'm not quite shure if its the right forum.
If i don't get answers i will move this thread to another forum. Therefore i close the older one and
post in the ohter forum.
Question: is it possible to move some thread from a forum to another one or have i to do it
as i have mentioned?
Thanks.
regards, Dieter
Hello Dieter,
I use the "Abuse" button (yellow triangle) & ask the mods to do this on my behalf

Hi,
so can someone tell me is there an official method we should use if a discussion is in the wrong topic forum?
Thanks,
Patrick.

moved here from ABAP General.
Both ways are OK, closing and re-opening or "abuse" button (although quite a harsh word under this circumstance...).

There are different forums under ABAP Development.
For Ex: If your question is related to Sap Script/ Smartform, you can post it in Form printing. For Database related queries its ABAP Dictionary.
Similarily you have categories for performance tuning, Enhancements etc.
If you post it in wrong forum, moderators will shift that to the correct forum. You cannot do that. So its always better to post in appropriate forum or else you can use ABUSE button and note the moderators to take care of it.
