Hi Experts,
A brief about the scenario.
We an employee record who was earlier working in say 'X' country with Employee Id as '1234' and GPID as 'ABCD'. Now this employee is to be has been hired back in his home country with Employee Number '5678', while we trying to update IT0709 with the earlier GPID 'ABCD', it errored out saying 'GPID already in use', so we had entered the GPID as '5678' only
Had checked in the table PA0709 using employees GPID 'ABCD' and could found the Employee id of 'X' country as '1234'.
Later on we tried using the Merge GPID transaction HRMGE0090, but somehow the records were wrongly merged and the record of country u2018Xu2019 has now GPID as u20185678u2019. So basically we donu2019t have the GPID u2018ABCDu2019 assigned to any of the Employee Numberu2019s.
Is there any way by which we can now merge the records based on GPID u2018ABCDu2019.
My solution plan is to enter the GPID u2018ABCDu2019 for the employee number u20185678u2019 and then later on merge the records with the employee number u20181234u2019.
Please let me know will it work or there would another way out to do it.
Thanks in advance for your help.
