Please do a few searches as there are a lot of information and documents on the web, including a SND Wiki dedicated to German Payroll (http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPHCM/SAPHCMPayroll+Germany).

Since last fall, there is also a forum for ERP HCM Payroll Germany, Austria & Switzerland (DACH).
