Our company is finally considering Netweaver to replace websphere studio application developper. We are currently doing a proof of concept and one of our architects has a few questions:
1) Does Netweaver have a fully functional J2EE engine as part of the IDE...or do you have to install other components on your local machine ?
2) Can you debug your apps locally or must you deploy them onto a server ? ... Which is better ?
3) Any advice, anticipated problems...remember we are currently changing religions...IBM to SAP
Thanks in advance,
Mark
1. Netweaver Developer Workplace has a fully functional J2EE compliant engine as part of it. The developer studio is eclipse based.
2. You can debug local apps deployed onto your local J2EE engine. Also you have the ability to debug remote apps
Hope this helps
