Adaptive RFC Model Failure

Hi,

I am using Sneak Preview of WAS 6.40 (90 day trial version). While trying to import the rfc model the process is failing. I have not set up the SLD. Can anyone please guide me as how to set up the RFC destinations in the SLD.

Thanks

Sidharth

    Hi Sidharth,

you don't need the SLD for importing models at design time, it's only needed at runtime. Please look at the Workspace/.metadata/.log what happened during import. Please assure to import into an <b>empty</b> package always.

Concerning the SLD configuration: There's some documentation available inside the examples folder of NDS, SAP help and in the forums. Just search for it.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards

    Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

Thanks for the reply. However i still have some issues.

    1. In the process of setting up SLD i need to import some zip files from the folder <installdrive>\usr\sap\j2e\sys\global\sld\model. These files are cimsap.zip and cr_content.zip.The first one is imported successfully. However while importing the second one midway i get an error message stating that "Service Unavailable. Dispatcher is running but server is not running." However the server is running. Do you know why this problem occurs.

    2. Secondly when i try to create the JCO Destinations as per the README files with the examples FlightList in the step where i have to give the Message Server i am not getting any value in the Drop Down there. How should i ensure that i get a value there.

Any answers to these will be a great help.

    Regards

      Hi Sidharth,

      1. no, sorry, i never got this problem.

      2. you have to create a "BC Message Server" instance in SLD and associate it with the current "SAP J2EE Engine Cluster". Then it will be available for selection in the content admin.

      Hope that helps.

      Regards

      Stefan

    Hi Stefan,

Sorry for bugging you once more. As part of creating the BC Message Server i need to give the name which is in the format given below

    SYSTEMID (C11).hostname.myhost.operating system service.sapmsc11.

What i want to know is what is this additional myhost.operating system service.

    Thanks in advance
