Pls provide SAP XI Upgrade Guide

Hi,

Pls provide SAP XI Upgrade Guide from SPS 13 to SPS 22, I mean how we can move the contents of XI System(Repository and Directory Contents) with SPS 13 to a Upgraded XI System with SPS 22. Now i have a blank XI system with SPS 22.

Please share your views.

Hello

If you have patched the system from SP13 to SP22, why do you need an Upgrade Guide? What exactly are you trying to achieve? Please provide further details.

- If you are changing the PI release e.g. PI 7.00 -> PI 7.10 then you may need an Upgrade Guide.

- If you are patching e.g. a PI 7.00 system from SP13 to SP22, you don't need to do anything with the Repository/Directory contents

We have done this no need to change any setting on your system. It is just patch...

You have to test once you have done the SP22 in DEV and take a check list of all the scenarios you have tested and the errors you have fixed.

move to QA & PROD....

Make sure in your landscape PI is on higher patch always... this is what SAP recommends.

Hai,

When even you apply new patch(SP) on PI server, you no need to upgrade anything, when even you instal new version then only you will perfrom system copy or transporting objects.(as per my exp).

you should be looking for Transporting the objects from SPS 13 system to SPS 22 system...assuming that these are two different syttems.

No specific steps...just follow some transport guide....once done re-configure the channels.

Hi ,

Here the case is i have an old PI system with old SPS which are having IR and ID contents. And i have a blank PI system with new SPS with no IR and ID contents. Now how will i transfer the IR and ID contents from old PI system to new PI system so that i can do Unit,Regression and Functional testing of PI Interfaces since need to do find out any discrepencies are there in the new PI system with new SPS.
