Hello,
I have 5 interfaces for which inbound File adapters will be used. I have the following questions :
Can one have multiple file adapters ?
Any naming standard to follow ?
How to manage the file adapter per interface ?
Where to assign/establish relation between interface & file adapter ?
Thanx in advance.
Homiar.
Hi Homiar,
1. You can have multiple inbound and outbound interfaces on one Adapter Engine. That is, you do not need to have to install them 5 times.
2. There is a naming standard to follow on SAPNet. But most companies have their own to follow.
3. Please look at the Adapter administration guide to answer all your other questions.

Dear Homiar,
1. just configure 5 module of type file_adapter and
configure each of them separately.
2. we have our own namin convetion. This very individual
for every company.
3. here we have to clarify expression. If you say adapter
engine than you should mean the whole engine. In one
adapter engine you can configure a lot of module of
diferent type, eg. file_adapter, jms_adapter,
jdbc_adapter. I understand you question in the manner
that you want to have different module of type
file_adapter in one single adapter engine. This you
can do and it make sense. It make no sense to install
5 different adapter engine.
In each module you can reference to one Interface e.g.
the relationship between interface and file adapter
module is one to one. So you will need five different
file adapter module to configure.
4. I am not sure to understand your question. If you want
to know how to configure the interface than i can tell
you that you have to do in the configuration of the
file adapter module, just like this
XMB.SenderBusinessSystem=SEDOK XMB.SenderInterfaceNamespace=http://mn.man.de/VZ_Bevorratung
XMB.SenderInterfaceName=MI_Bevorratung_OUT
