On installing EP6 SP2 .. I seem to able to install oracle okay. But when I go to use SAPINST on windows to install the portal schemas I get this error:

Anyone get this error? At the moment I have applied Oracle 9.2.0.3 patch. I am able to bring the Oracle instance up and check the listener.

Logged in SQLPLUS/nolog . . able to log in.

Also LSTNCTL status says the listener is up and running fine. Almost looks like the SAPinst on its own is not able to bring up the listener. I am concluding that based on the following:

As soon as the SAPInst fails ( by this time it is attempting to create the DB after it creates the DB users !! ) I switch and watch the services and I can see that the listener is not up. The Oracle service is up and running at the sametime.

Please help. Thanx, Rajesh Jayarajan.
