Synchronizing cube contents

Hi all,

I am facing with following problem: We have 3 cubes which need to be updated during the day. The update is beeing done with deltas from an R/3 system.

Now there are queries which are showing data from all 3 cubes by using a multiprovider. Normally, new data should be available at the same point of time as otherwise we'd encounter logical inconsistencies between the 3 snapshots of data.

Unfortunately the loading procedure for the cubes takes time from 10min for one cube and 30-60min for the others, so during the update users do have inconsistencies.

The idea is now to use the qm status to make all 3 new requests available for reporting at one point of time - when the last cube has been loaded. Does anybody know a good ABAP or function module to do so?

Thanks a lot,

Steen

    Hello Steen,

here's a different solution: restrict the query on the multiprovider by the request ID (<=highest request ID before the loading starts). To fully automate it, you could use a variable which is set by the user exit.
