how to determine agent of a particular step type in sap work flow.

hi Experts,

i have created one workflow. the first step is back ground task where i will get userid from the database table. i am assingning this user id as a responsible agent for the next step type. but when i executed the workflow, work item for this step type is not appearing in corresponding user's inbox. if user id is INF137209. I will get this value in first step into one variable and i will assign this variable to next step as a responsible agent. but work item is not appearing in the INF137208 inbox. please help me.

Hi Praveen,

Go to the workflow log in SWi1 and check where the work item is lying?

Also you need to concatenate US to your user ID. For Example if INF137208 is a SAP user ID then you should pass as USINF137208.

hi viji, thank you very much. i added US to the userid, now work item is appearing in that userids inbox.

I'm guessing the user is not able to execute this task at task level.

Maintain the agent assignmment attributes through the workflow builder or PFTC.

Set it to general task.

Depends on which system you're on but you might have to refresh the organizational buffer afterwards, SWU_OBUF
