Newbie question 'bout portal content

Hi gurus,

I'm not quite sure, if I understand the API well; so my basic question is: When to use AbstractPortalComponent, DynPage and JSPDynPage. The AbstractPortalComponent seems to offer less funtionality regarding event handling and more sophisticated GUI handling, so I prefer DynPage instead. But when to use JSPDynPage vs. DynPage?

Thanx in advance

Volker

    Well,

The JSPDynpage extends (inherits from) DynPage and provides one new method setJspName(String) . At the end of the method doProcessBeforeOutput, this value is checked, and if it the jsp page is set, it is rendered.

So,basicly if you are working (or planning to work with ) jsp, use JSPDynpage.

If not, you might as well use JSPDynpage as there are not negative sides in using it 😊
