Moving average Price updation

Hi,

I want to know whether moving average price in material master will update when material is not received in unrestricted stock, for eg if i receive stock with mov type 101 Q that is project stock.

Hi..

Logically if it wont come in unrestricted stock ... the MAP should not update.

Because material is valuated at inventory level..so when it will come to inventory or when it is consumed the material master will update.

the MAP and the price update has nothing to do with a quality status.

It just depends on cusotmizing settings for material type and plant, whether your material type is quantity and value managed in the your plant .

And then it just depends if you procure to stock or not. Only reciepts to stock will update the MAP.

Hi...

I have checked this on SAP IDEAS and i found that MAP doesnt change there in material master.

But stock reflects in MMBE as a project stock.

While the project stock quantity is the quantity = Quantity in Unrestricted use + Project stock

this quantity is the available quantity.

If the stock appears as project stock, then the PO is account assigned, hence it is not a normal stock item, and because of this the MAP is not updated.

Project stock cannot be seen in table MBEW.

It is stored in table MSPR

I hope you mean GR blocked stock posted with 103 movment

As blocked stock status will as well update moving average price

Hi ,

Once movement 101 is done the price gets updated i.e moving average price .

As you specified that material is of project stock then the moving average price of that material in that paritcular project would be updated and not the entire materila of all the locations .

Please be clear on moving average price of project and regular stock .

Moving Average price will get updated for all the goods receipt and the Goods issue for valuated plant stock, but if you procure for the Project stock then at the time of 101 Q this will not get updated because this is a Project stock.
