Only Posted Values in Web Applications

Can anyone suggest an easy method of filtering a drop-down list in a web application to include only the items returned by the query?

For example, if a cost center manager has access (restricted by authorization variable) to a single cost center I would like the cost element drop-down list to include only those cost elements that apply to that cost center -- not the full list from master data or InfoProvider.

'Only Posted Values for Navigation' on the Business Explorer tab-sheet of InfoObject maintenance does not seem to apply to drop-down lists.

    Hi,

you should change the attribute read-mode (BOOKED_VALUES) of your drop-Down-Box to Posted Values (Q).

    Regards
