Org Chart 3.0: Error in exporting to Power Point

Former Member

Hi,

I'm using Org Chart 3.0 , IE 7 and Power Point 2007.

When exporting to power point using PowerPoint Org Chart Object 2007, I'll get a pop up window asking me if I want to save or open thefile. However, either I chose open or save, I always get the following error:

Internet Explorer cannot download OrgChartPowerPointCtr.jsp from <our servername>.

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later.

In the log, I get this:

3093. 07 Jan 2011 10:47:25 INFO com.nakisa.Logger - Invoking action:exportToPowerPoint [object2007]. For processor OrgChartAppEventProcessor. Against controller OrgChartCtr

Does anyone know what went wrong?

Thanks.

The targetinvocationexception is a very generic error to be thrown. I think you will need Nakisa to investigate so suggest raising on OSS.

What build version are you on 0700xxxx?

My build version is 0700038500.

Thanks.

I have a later build and do not get this error. I would assume it's a bug. Raise a(nother) OSS note?

Hi Luke,

May I know which build number are you using? and is this build officially available? If it is, I may want our BASIS guy to download and re-install the new build.

Thanks.

I'm afraid it's not available via SMP so you'll have to get the fix via OSS. Partners get access to the latest builds for BETA testing and development purposes. However, as it appears to be fixed Nakisa should be able to provide a fix in a short time frame.

I'd also like to point out that I did not configuration to get this export to work - I just enabled it in SettingsResources.xml (the same as doing it in the AdminConsole).

Hi Luke,

I didn't do anything other than enable power point export in admin console.

Well, it looks like OSS is my only option then. Thanks.

Hi,

Nakisa promised to get this solved by SP1. However, in my latest Org Chart (build 455), it is already solved.
