How to activate configurable areas and cog-wheel

Hi Gurus! I hope you`ve started this years exactly as you had wished for!

I really need you help and advice since I need to make a change in the IC but I don`t have the configurable area and cog-wheel activated, those icons are just not in my bar.The client in which I`m trying to make the modfiications is the one corresponding to customing so I don`t understand why I don`t see those icons.

Please could you tell me how to make them appear so that I can change the views and fields?

Hi Shobhit, in fact what I don`t have is the "Personalization" botton available, hence I cannot activate the configurable areas. I still think it has to do with something regarding authorizations or stuff like that 'cos I can see the configurable area botton using another user. The thing is that I don`t know what to do with my user.

Any suggestions?

Yes it may be because of that, to check that can you set some standard business role like SALESPRO or IC_AGENT for your user and then check whether the Personalize option is coming or not in the L-Shape.

Hi Sumit, I`ve tried to access the tcode you mentioned and read the other thread you sent me but I don`t understand what package to use. And the thing is that I don`t think it`s something in customizing `cos when I use another user I do see the corresponding icon wich allows me to modify the UI. I am still confused because I have created a new sap user, using as a model the one with which I can edit the UI, but still it doesn`t work.

Could you please give me a hand?

Hi,

Have you tried by going to Personalize option in the L-shape at the top of the screen->Setting->Personalize Settings->Enable Configuration mode.

Hi,

Try this..

Use Tr. AXTSYS or follow the following customizing path: SPRO u2013> CRM -> UI Framework -> UI Fr Def -> Appln Enhancement Tool -> Define sys settings for adding the Package. Then AET should work.

Maintain time zone and enable personalization mode under personlization link in web ui.
