Different tax account assigment for the same TaxCodes / different countries

Dear all,

I need to create different tax account assigment for different countries with the same Chart of Accounts for the same TaxCodes. As I found in trx FTXP TaxCodes are created on Country level, but account assignment in OB40 is done on TaxCode level (not Country).

So, I could have the same TaxCode "HM" in both countries, but I can't have different account assigment for them, is this correct?

If yes, does it mean that the only way to have different account assigment is to create unique TaxCodes for both countries in Client?

Is there any other possibility to have the same TaxCodes, but different target accounts.

In India we have a requirement to have Plant wise different GL accounts for VAT... For that, SAP has provided an option to maintain Table J_1IT030K_V....

But, unfortunately, the Country option is not provided... May be you can raise an OSS msg to SAP and request them to provide this option, the way it is done for India...

However, when you have same Chart of Accounts, then ideally you should share the same GL account also.. Else, you would run into duplicate GL accounts at Chart of Acc level... If legal requirement specifies a different no range for GL accounts like in China, you can use a Country Specific Ch of Acc and assign the Country specific GL in FS00

You can explore this option of Country Specific CoA and report based on this GL account
