Upgrading from MS Access 2000 to Access 2007 with my new Crystal 2008

Hello.

As every one is moving to office 2007 and even newer i found it time to finally purchase a new version of crystal. However Crystal 2008 dose not open Access 2007 the same as earlier version of access. The only way i can figure out how to do this is to use ODBC but that will force me to totally re write all reports since adding the odbc link in place of the direct MDB link removed all fields from the report. HELP> It will take weeks at best to fix this

So how do i connect to access 2007 the same way i connected to Access 2000 MDB file formats.

Thanks.

Hello,

Don't update your Access files to the new format, save them as MDB files.

CR for VS 2010 and the next release of Crystal Reports now supports the accdb file type. In the mean time there is no option but to use ODBC or OLE DB to use the new Access file types.

Thank you

Hello.

Thanks you for confirming what i was most worried about. I guess ill be calling the online store and returning Crystal 2008. If it cant connect to Access 2007 there i no point. Ill stay with Crystal 9.0 it cant connect either but i wont be wasting $430.

I hope 2011 will be out soon.
