Hi experts,
We are in the process of developing Visual Composer applications with CE 7.1.1. We use our "already in place" remote NWDI, as our source control, since it is a valid configuration according to NW 7.0 Master guide (p.9).
We are using the web interface, as opposed to NWDS, to developed the VC models.
We now wish to use Visual Composer with the source control NWDI.
We are using:
SAP Composition Environment 7.1, EhP1 SP4
SAP NWDI 7.0, SP21
SAP SLD 7.1 EhP1, SP5
We have executed the following procedures, according to SAP documentations:
1. Configure the SDIC Service according to https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-106271. We have modified the sdic.nwdiservers.max.checkin.attempts parameter to 10.
2. Configuring the Repository Services Service according to https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-107812.
3. Configuring the Development Server Service according to https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-107805.
4. We have defined two users who are responsible for Visual Composer development. We have given them the following rights: VisualComposerUser and pcd:portal_content/administrator/modeled_content/vc_dev_preview on the Composition Environment System. Those users also have privileges on the remote NWDI and SLD systems.
5. We have configured a trust between both CE and NWDI systems: https://cw.sdn.sap.com/cw/docs/DOC-108982?treeid=DOC-99721
We ran the configuration wizard from NCE 7.1 in order to create the NWDI track (track01), the product (ourproduct), the vendor (ourcompany.com), and the software component (and its dependencies) in SLD. We used the composite application for NW 7.1 template.
As a result, when we open the "Create new model" and select "Source control", we are able to see our newly created software component. Our problem is that the Development component drop down list box is empty and the "New" button is disabled.
Questions:
Are there additionnal configuration steps we need to do in order to
link SC with DC?
Or, are there additional privileges required to create
them?
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Nathalie
