Accessing iView properties from a WebDnpro application

Hi People,

Is it possible to get/set properties of an EP6 iView from a webdynpro application which is contained in that iView? Is there any API available to achieve this?

Please let me know.

Thanks

Shakeel

    Hi Shakeel,

    I think there was a discussion about a similar question not long time ago and Karin said that this is not possible at the moment but planed for a later release.

    But have a look by yourself at the thread.

    Regards

    Helmut

    Hi .. Take the receiving EP LogonID and show it in WebDynpro application for example ..

    Step1. Define the "Application Parameters" in the Content Manager of your WebDynPro iView , for example :

    WhoAmI=<User.UserID>

    Step2.Coding in the WebDynpro to receive the Url parameter from iView , for example :

    String myid = WDWebContextAdapter.getWebContextAdapter().getRequestParameter("WhoAmI" ) ;

    You can set the data into Context element bind with an UI element . Then , execute your webdynpro application through EP and WAS to find out the different . I hope this can give some help .. Have fun ...
