Material & Material Description fields in IW38 & IW39

Dear All

In the output screen of IW38 & IW39 transactions, there are two fields "Material" and "Material Description" available. But there is no value displayed in it.

Our requirement is to bring the components assigned to the maintenance order in these fields.

Plz. help me to achieve the above requirement. Any Enhancements or user exits are available?

Hello Bala,

Material field is for refurbishment order. To get component for each respective order. Yo u will have to go for development. You can track the material movement w.r.t. maintenance order in table MSEG. Give input of your maintenance order and get the list of components which are issued with quantity.

Hi,

The material and description fields are only filled in the case of a refurbishment order. In that case there is a single material linked to the order header. Your problem is that for maintenance orders there could be many components and it is not possible to show these on a single line per order number. A custom development would be required to get the report you want.
