WebDynrpo Application Session

Hi all,

Does anybody know an appropriate solution for storing application data across different WebDypro Components in some kind of a user specific session. The lifecycle of this "session" should be handled analog to a J2EE user session.

Thanks - regards

Michael

    Hi Michael,

have a look at the help file.

Developers Manual - Developing Web Applications - Web Dynpro - Tutorials - Advanced Tutorials - Component Turorials

There you find the answer to your question.

    Hello again,

thanks for the quick response. I am wondering if the WD component concept is the right solution for our problem. We have a lot of WD components that are embedded in the enterprise portal behind different navigation links. Each navigation link points to a central dispatcher component that redirects to the desired component.

Our problem is that the life cycle of the dispatcher component is only as long as between the HTTP requests.

So we do not have any global context that's lifecycle spans multiple WD components (covered by multiple portal navigation links).

    Thank you in advance. Regards,

    Michael
