Hello,

Punch out catalogs are third party catalogs, which does not belong to SAP.

Its integration occurs via OCI data, as occurs with MDM and CCM catalogs.

Hi Ricardo

Thanks for your reply.

Punch out catalogs are built specially for SRM catalogs?

How is done the mapping for material numbers, there is this information in the punch out?

Thanks

Hi Nilson.

Customer can use the functionality of catalogs which acts a repository of products/items where end user selects it and transfer it to shopping cart from where the step by step process takes place. SAP delivers it own catalog called SRM-MDM Catalog or Procurement Catalog which serves all the required functionality for this usecase. In the mean time customer can also build their own catalog and integrate it to SRM but it has to adhere to the OCI standards.

Also as mentioned by Ricardo, punchout catalog should adhere to OCI standards which means the data which is pushed from Catalog to SRM will have a standard which is understand by SRM.

For ex: It will send the fields and values for a record in this manner.

NEW_ITEM-MATNR[1] = XYZ

NEW_ITEM-DESCRIPTION[1]=SCREWS

NEW_ITEM-QUANTITY[1]=10

NEW_ITEM-PRICE[1]=25.00

You can get more insight in the following OCI documentation.
