If it is possible to install MDK on WAS 6.40? I am trying to deploy ear module from installation on it but I get the following error:

Hi,

i've read the postings an i think, that MDK doesn't need a special version of Web AS. MDK is only browserbased documentation and training-material for developing mobile apps for mobile engine. You can run it on EVERY J2EE server, not only on Web AS.

By this way, the MDK should work! Only the WebConsole and the SyncServlet possibly can make problems.

I have a rampup installation WAS 6.40 SP 5.

I didn't find MDK installed, can you point me the documentation regarding the issue?

Hi Victor,

i believe that it is not possible to install the MDK because in WAS 6.40 mobile infrastructure 2.5 is included and there has not been released a corresponding MDK yet. Maybe you won't need it, if its already included - i am unsure about that. Do you have the sneak preview edition of WAS 6.40 or a ramp-up installation?
