Timebased Publishing Service

Hi together,

we use in an EP5.0-SP6-Portal for some folders the timebased-publishing-service (and sometime additional versioning).

The way to create an new document with a validity period is very inconvenient:

After creating a new document the validform-date is the same as the validto-date, so you have to do a second workstep to change the validto-date (and if you use tbp and versioning together you get an new version).

My questions:

1. Is it possible to set a default validity period for documents (e. g. 3 months) so the second workstep is only necessary, if the author wants to differ form the default-value?

2. Is it possible to make the properties validform and validto mandatory, so the properties appears when you create or upload an new document?

Best regards,

    Hi all,

currently there is no possibility for normal documents to maintain the validity period during creation. Only if you use XML Forms, you may create a form with the valid from and valid to as mandatory fields.
