Subgroup For Different Object Type In Organizational Management

Former Member

Good morning,

When I try to create a new subgroup from the IMG: Personnel Management -> Organizational Management -> Basic Settings -> Maintain Number Ranges -> Maintain Number Ranges

I get the error:

Please specify a valid subgroup

Message no. 5A300

Diagnosis

You have not specified an allowed subgroup.

System Response

The system cannot accept your entry.

...

We have a subgroup $$$$ and I'm trying to create six more subgroups: $$O, $$C, $$S, $$K, $$P, $$A because I want to create a different number range for every object type (O, C, S, K, P, A).

What can I do?

Thans in advance,

Julian.

System will not allow $$O combination to create no range....if your plan version is 01 then you can create no range like 01O. Here 01 is PV and O is Object type.

Go through this doc....

Enter the subgroup for which you wish to set up number assignment.

The following entries are allowed (when number assignment is not valid for all plan versions).

$$$$ (plan version and object type are generic)

PV$$ (plan version, object type is generic)

PVOT (plan version, object type)

The following entry is not allowed:

$$OT (plan version generic, object type)

The following entries are allowed (when number assignment is valid for all plan versions):

$$$$ (plan version and object type are generic)

$$OT (plan version generic, object type)

The following entries are not allowed:

PVOT (plan version, object type)

PV$$ (plan version, object type is generic)

Save your entries. The systems automatically creates an external number range (EX) and an internal number range (IN).
