Is the web-server bundled with the WAS 6.4 or is it stand-alone?

Hi all,

I'm totally new to the SAP world and hence this stupid question.

I wanted to know if the web-server is bundled with SAP WAS 6.4 or is it stand-alone.

In other words, I want to know if, SAP WAS 6.4 comes with a web-server and J2EE application server individually or is it all together as a package. I'm assuming here that WAS 6.4 contains a webserver. Pl. correct me if I'm wrong. I would greatly appreciate the experts response on this question. I can be reached at manishsainani@yahoo.com.

Thanks a ton!

It is hard to detect WAS 640 from outside as a browser client side. Upon your tools you can only grab a flag called SAP 640 J2EE engine.

In a tutorial example you may see content mangager inside.

Anyway, no matter what web server inside or not, you may deploy a apache web server for load balancing.
